-Girl’s basketball will have a home scrimmage Tuesday evening starting 5:30-7:30. Please come out and get a preview of our Lady Wolverine basketball team as they scrimmage East Jessamine.

• This weekend, Western Hills competed in the JV Challenge, a Governor's Cup-like competition for 9th and 10th graders. Among the schools in our division were Paul Laurence Dunbar, Woodford County, Scott County, Frankfort Christian, and Franklin County, who hosted the event.
• Western Hills placed second for the day--all events combined--losing only to Dunbar. Woodford and Franklin County placed 3rd and 4th, respectively.
• In quick recall play, Western Hills also placed second, defeating Woodford and Franklin, but losing twice to Dunbar, who went on to win.
• In written exams, each school could enter up to three students per content area. Awards were given for the top six students in each area. Placing for Western Hills were the following:
• Anita Shanker--1st place in arts and humanities, 4th place in science
• Tyler Schaeffer--6th place in mathematics
• Brandon Young--5th place in science
• Competing for Western Hills were Anita Shanker, Tyler Schaeffer, Brandon Young, Zack Wasson, Lindy Massey, Lacy Wallace, Derek Phillips, and Chris Nguyen.
• If you see any of these students, please congratulate them on this impressive victory.

-H1N1 vaccines will be given on Wednesday, Nov. 18 from 1:30 - 3:30. Be sure to bring in your signed permission slip before Wednesday afternoon.
-Western Hills Basketball Excite Night will be on November 23 @ 6:30 in the gym. Admission is $2 for adults and $1 for students. There will also be a chili supper at 5pm. $5 gets you chili, sandwich, drink and dessert! What a deal! There will also be a silent auction, half court shots, door prizes, and much much more!
