 Elkhorn Elementary
Mission Statement

The mission of Elkhorn Elementary is to provide the skills needed for students to become successful life-long learners and contributing members of society. Through the cooperative efforts of dedicated children, parents, community, and faculty, at least 90% of students will perform at or above grade level in all academic areas. To ensure the success of all students our faculty shall coach each child to proficiency!

Value Statements

Curriculum

Our staff will implement a well-paced rigorous and intentional curriculum based on Kentucky Core Content 4.1 and provide continuous congruent assessments.

 Learning Styles

Our staff will address and target the individual learning styles and needs of each student through actively engaging students in varied teaching techniques and strategies.

 School Climate

All staff will be committed to providing a conducive, safe, orderly and supportive environment in which collaboration and high expectations are the norm.

 Professional Standards

The entire staff will be goal oriented and take a proactive approach to seek and incorporate research-based instruction.
