VOLUNTEER POLICY

PARENTS WISHING TO VOLUNTEER ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO SO.

IT'S AS EASY AS ONE, TWO, THREE!!!

1.  Volunteers need to record their name, date and time of day in the volunteer book located on the counter in the main office.  They should also record the time that they leave.  This helps the office keep track of who is in the building in case of an emergency.  It is also the means by which we track of the amount of time volunteers spend in our school.
2.  On the volunteer's first visit they are asked to complete a background check form.  This form needs to be completed at the beginning of each school year.
3.  Volunteers need to watch a confidentiality video.  The video is located in the front office and is usually viewed in the Family Resource Center.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES VARY.

Materials can be copied for teachers.  Materials can be laminated and cut for teachers.  Homeroom parents are needed during classroom parties and field trips.  The Family Resource Center can use volunteers to help with signage, workshop materials, and various parent/student handouts.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU NEED TO HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK TO ATTEND FIELD TRIPS WITH YOUR CHILD'S CLASS.
